I've been hearing on and on how the 20xx chips are becoming obsolete.... i
am sorry, but i need to disagree with that...atj20xx where massive hits in
all markets i know, and even though there can be discontinued in six months
from now, there still will be a big volume of them in the streets, meaning
that they will be around for much longer. that means that there still will
be a lot of peopke interested or wanting to develop for this devices, so,
the effort to build a good foundation for people to do that is still of
value, or at least that is what i think.
No to mention that if 21xx chips are coming on, thing comming from working
in this project could make things easier if we wwant to start working on
those other chips (i dont expect them to be similar to atj20xx, but i think
some things will be alike) Not to mention that having an api defined for
this project, could make if we want to work on the new chips, by means of
extending what is already built instead of starting from zero( I now there
will be a lot of things to research, counting that the new devices having
different proccesors, memory mapping, devices, et etc)
That is my opinion
