That pattern is put there by the secondary bootloader, for every 
0x800 bytes it receives it puts a grey 'thingy' followed by the high 
address byte and a white line to the screen. I seem to have ripped the 
address and white line parts out of my own 2ndstage.asm; that's prolly why 
the patterns differ.
